When it comes to the Madrugada merchandise sold on the tour, they have four different t-shirt designs, all available in two different colors. One says "Run Away With Me," the others have artwork from the "The Nightly Disease" booklet; one has the spiral head of a man, one has the landscape explosion also used for the main logo of this page and one has the drawing of the band from the last page of the booklet. Thanks to Mohawk for the information.
The October 24th 013, Tilburg, The Netherlands concert was recorded on MiniDisc by a member of the audience. Majestic Scene was the opening act at that concert.
October 25th 2001 - The German music televison channel VIVA Zwei is presenting Madrugada's tour in Germany, and are airing a commercial for the tour every now and then. The commercial consists of excerpts from the "Higher" video with some colors added, the German tour schedule and a VIVA Zwei host talking about the band over the music.
Last night Madrugada played at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands, an apparently great gig that started out real quiet and relaxed but picked up heaviness later on. The place was not sold out, the hall was filled but not really crowded, and for some reason they did not have their usual big lightshow. Unlike on the Summer tour, Madrugada merchandise in form of a t-shirt was sold at the concert, but the price was a stiff 23 euro. Thanks to Marc Verhees and Maarten Duits for the information.

A real Madrugada bootleg has been put into circulation. This is not a CD-R that fans of the band trade to eachother, but a professionally pressed disc that someone is earning money off of. It is called "Live In Berlin," and consists of the March 26th 2001 performance taped off the radio. The reason I mention this here is because those who made it have gotten the pictures used for the artwork from the Internet, including three pictures I myself have taken. I would like to say that I have nothing to do with this product, my pictures are used without permission, and people who make money off of other people's work suck.
October 24th 2001 - Two days ago Madrugada played at Le Café De La Dance in Paris, France. Apparently it was a great gig, the atmosphere was great and they seemed to have fun playing there. At the beginning of the first encore, only "Nightly Disease Part II," Jon threw sweets across the audience. They came back for two more encores, the second one consisting of "Quite Emotional." Thanks a lot to Vinciane Lébrun for the information.

October 22nd 2001 - The movie "Too Much Flesh" was published quite some time ago, and a soundtrack album feturing various artists was also released. On this album Madrugada's "Vocal" is track number one. Two links with a little bit of information regarding the album can be found
here and
here. Thanks a lot to Chrispy for the information.
October 18th 2001 - Last night Madrugada played at a small pub called Moby Dick's in Madrid, Spain, with apparently just about thirty people in the crowd. Nevertheless they did a very good performance, according to a person in the audience, even though they had various problems with the sound throughout the entire concert.
Thanks a lot to Oscar Puado for this information. He noted that some of the songs they played included "A Deadend Mind," "Black Mambo," "Two Black Bones," "Quite Emotional" (or "Vocal"), "Nightly Disease Part II," "Hands Up - I Love You," "Lucy One," "Strange Colour Blue," "Higher," "Belladonna," "The Frontman," "We Are Go," "Norwegian Hammerworks Corp." and a brand new song called something that starts with "Last Train To [...]".
The performance of "The Frontman" is one of the first ever, though the song was performed on a couple of occasions in an earlier version under the names "Captain, The Men Are Exploding!" and "Folk Explosion." The brand new song features Sivert on acoustic guitar with Robert on lead guitar along with a rhytm machine, and no bass or drums.
A band called Outjump will open for Madrugada at Planet Music in Wien, Austria on October 31st. More information on the band can be found
here, apparently. Thanks to Bernadette for the information.
October 17th 2001 - A lot of updates today, but most of them will not be noticed by the common visitor. One thing that should be clear, though, is that the main page has changed a little bit. Some sections have been removed, and a new
Information About New Album section has been added. The changes that people will not notice mainly consists of reducing HTML size and putting HTML files into sub-folders. This might result in some errors when trying to look at a page, as I might have forgotten to update a link or two. If you get errors, please
e-mail me.
The Madrugada Lyrics Section has been removed from this page due to copyright issues. Due to the band getting a publishing deal, all their lyrics are now copyrighted and might not be used without permission. Apparently, official lyrics will soon be available elsewhere, though.

They will also do a concert on the 8th, where they will play has yet to be announced. Thanks a lot to
Art Pro for this information.
October 10th 2001 - According to
Racing Junior, the talented and very interesting artist St. Thomas will play with Madrugada on twelve occasions during their European tour, from November 2nd to 16th. This and more info about St. Thomas can be found on this
webpage.
October 8th 2001 - As with Madrugada's two previous concerts in Berlin, Germany, the local radio station
Radio Eins will be presenting their concert there on November 16th. I do not know whether they will record it or not. On their homepage there is a small Madrugada special under 'Events,' referring to this page as the band's official page...
Setlist for the concert at Studentersamfunnet in Halden, Norway on March 13th was added to
The Concert Chronology, thanks a lot to
Musikkavisen who put up a review and the setlist. A lot of pictures from this concert can be found at
this page.
October 5th 2001 - Madrugada opened the European leg of their "The Nightly Disease Tour 2001" at Abart Music Club in Zürich, Switzerland last night. Some of the songs are listed as "Unknown Title" and "Unknown Cover Song" as Carlo had never heard them before, the actual titles of these songs will hopefully surface some time soon.

"Another concert I'll never forget. Wednesday night, a room in Zürich where band and fans are very close to each other, where there's no space between playing and listening to music, it's just one big thing. And that was also what Madrugada's performance was like, one big thing."
"After having spent about six months listening to their two albums, I was really positively surprised to get new songs on a live performance. And even the songs I listen to again and again, like 'A Deadend Mind,' and the solos which I try hard to play as Robert Burås does, do not sound the same as on the CDs. Live, they sound even better. Different. Madrugada works with their music, it's not just playing down their songs. Nothing sounds boring, not even if you heard the song over a million times."
"If you thought to go for an easy evening listening to soft norwegian music, you were wrong. Madrugada knows how to rock. Even songs like 'Hands Up - I Love You' are played very powerful. They lead you into an emotional flow you hardly get out of. And you enjoy hovering while drums, guitar, bass and
voice and whatever is between them all make a magic form of rock music. And suddenly when they brake the magic, everybody calls them back on the stage, and nobody is quiet anymore."
"They come back, sivert loses some words about the critical Swissair situation, confirming us, 'to get back to Switzerland, anyway, even if the financial minister told the Swiss image has declined in value.' 'Nightly Disease Part II' sets in, loud, powerful and still projecting you in emotions you never knew to have. Burås' Fender still playing his part, Høyem's deep voice still swaying us in the night, Jacobsen's bass still giving the connection between both of them and Pettersen's drums telling the rythmn of the night. Four guys, their sound, their fans, our night! The night fades out with 'Sister.' Most like a lullaby, that should wish us a good night... and it was a good night."
Thanks a lot to Carlo Coppola for all of this.
October 4th 2001 - The Internet music fanzine
Luna Café has a review of every Madrugada release available on their page, along with two concert reviews. The easiest way to access them all is through the page's search engine, which is available
here. Thanks a lot to Håvard Oppøyen for this information.
