UK-only single
Madrugada will release a UK-only single on April 12th. The single is a double A-side featuring "Majesty" and "Seven Seconds," with "Come Back Billy Pilgrim" as the b-side. The last one is available on the usual version of "Grit" but not on the UK version of the album. Apparently the video for "Majesty" will also be on the CD. Thanks to Stephen Ewashkiw for the info.
As a footnote, Stephen was Madrugada’s UK Press Officer at LD Communications, but has started up his own management, PR and consultancy company. He is Madrugada’s new manger through his new company, Blaim.

The

Sivert Høyem releases solo album
On March 15th, Madrugada singer Sivert Høyem's debut solo album "Ladies And Gentlemen Of The Opposition" was released in Norway. The album is a slightly different listening experience than Madrugada, which would be quite natural since Sivert himself says that the songs that ended up on the album are songs that do not really fit into the Madrugada theme.
To co-incide with the release of the album,
siverthoyem.com was unveiled as Sivert's official webpage. There you can find some information about the album, tour dates, and listen to sound clips from the album.
Madrugada drummer Simen Vangen and Madrugada collaborator Mikael Lindqvist are also featured on the album, and as part of Sivert Höyem & The Opposition, the live line-up for this solo project. Tour dates have been announced and can be seen
here. More dates, including performances in Oslo, should be announced at a later time.
European release of the album is this week as far as I have understood.
Four live performances recorded for Norwegian radio have been put up on the Madrugada page Legends And Bones, located
here. Also available is an acoustic live performance of "Only When You're Gone" for the Madrugada fans.

Page up and running again
Unfortunately there has been some downtime for madrugada.de lately, hopefully the problems have been solved and things will stay a bit more stable for some time now. Sorry about any inconvenience this has caused, especially for those of you that frequent the discussion forum. The forum is still down, and will remain down at least for a little bit longer, but users can rest assured that everything has been backed up.
The downtime has been used to do an overhaul on the entire page, small fixes to the code mostly, but most users will hopefully notice that this news page is now being run with a script, which should result in much more frequent updates than what has been the case over the last half year, since updating has now gotten much easier. The
guestbook system has also been changed, feel free to be amongst the first to leave a message.
