Madrugada Song Guide: This started out as a simple guide to the cover songs Madrugada have performed and the songs that were left unreleased in one form or another. Since then, the scope has been widened, and it now aims at including every single song Madrugada, Sivert Høyem & The Opposition / Volunteers or My Midnight Creeps have ever performed, be it original or a cover, with alternate titles, notes about the songs, links to lyrics whenever available and links to the discography for the releases the songs are available on.

NotesFirst promo single from the band's second album, "Histamin."
The video for this song features band member Alex Kloster-Jensen burying Robert S. Burås (aka. Bobby Cagehill) alive out in the Norwegian countryside. According to the band they copied it from the Coen-brothers debut movie "Blood Simple," scene by scene. They recorded it in a field in Spikkestad, Norway and it took them twelve hours to record, in a temperature of minus fifteen degrees celsius. (Nettavisen, 2007)

NotesRobert explains that when he writes songs he does not think about which band he is writing for. Therefore some songs are clearly Madrugada-songs, while others fit better for My Midnight Creeps. And some can work for both, for example this song, which was written for Madrugada's 2002 "Grit" album. According to Robert they could not get it to work back then, so it was left to gather dust until My Midnight Creeps put it back into life, got it to work and released it on "Histamin." Robert joked that Frode wanted to play on the My Midnight Creeps record so much that he locked regular bass player Raymond Jensen in the bathroom, then told the band that Raymond could not make it to the studio that day but that he would not mind playing on this song. Since he was there he got to do it. (Nettavisen, 2007)
